As people have been asking about some of this stuff, I figured I'd just make a topic specifically for this.
Some common questions-
How do I earn points?
First, create an attack and post it in the official attack topic for your team. Once you post it, copy the URL of the post by clicking the gear in the upper right, click "Link to Post", and copy one of those options. Then scroll up to the navigation bar and click the "Attack!" and it'll take you to a Google form. Fill in the information and where it asks for the link, that's where the one you just copied comes in. You paste the URL in that and fill out the rest of the information and submit.
Why should I submit for points?
When you submit your attacks for points, it goes towards your team's overall score. When Art Fight ends, the team with the highest score wins! The staff hasn't determined any prizes yet, though. But that's no reason to not want to brag being on the winning team, is it?
How are points scored?
When you use the "Attack!" button in the navigation bar and submit your attack through that google form, it goes through a bunch of spreadsheets that automatically score it based on your input. Staff then go through and make sure you did everything right and if we think that it deserves some bonus, we put that in too.
What counts for bonus?
A vague list of what we look for-
animation
work that is between two options (more info about this is below)
extra hard work! more-so than we're used to seeing from you
How do I know what to mark my piece as?
If you're not sure between two of the options in the google form, a good rule of thumb is to use the option that takes less effort and when someone reviews your submission, they might give you some bonus for having a piece between the two options.
I don't remember what attacks I've submitted to it. Can you tell me?
Sure thing! Just send me a PM and let me know and I'll get back to you asap.
Can you tell me how many points an attack was worth?
Yep, just let me know what attack and I'll go find it for you!
I put something in wrong and already submitted it. What do I do?
Deep breath, it'll be okay! Just PM me about what is wrong and what it should be and I'll get on it asap. If you did this, please do not re-submit your attack! This will mess everything up and if it isn't caught, then this is troublesome and makes mori sad.
I want to/have switched teams. What happens to the points I've earned?
The points you've earned stay on the team you've earned them as, no matter how many or how few points you earned for that team.
Friendly fiah!
No... Friendly fire does not count for points so please do not submit it to the google form.
I was already working on an attack for someone and just noticed they switched teams. Can I still submit the attack for points?
Yes, you may. However, you also need to include a note in your attack post so that we know this when we check your attack. If it isn't noted, we will think that you had done it as a friendly fire and remove your submission as you don't get points for friendly fire. Please also remember that we have a log of who switched teams and when so please don't try to trick us. Doing so may result in a penalty for you or even your team.
Multi-user attacks?
Multi-user attacks are when you draw characters of multiple people in the same piece. If any of the characters are of someone on the same team as you, do not count them when submitting the attack to the google form. Example- You are on color and do an attack that is on two monochrome and one color person with a total of three characters. Because one of the characters belongs to a color person, you need to leave out the color person's name and only count the two monochrome characters in the attack. Otherwise this is unfair and a form of getting points for friendly fire.
Gore is being removed. What about attacks I've already submitted?
Yes, all works deemed as gore by our staff will be removed by August 12th. If it has already been submitted to the spreadsheet, your points will remain.
